When conditions allow (usually winter/spring) certified guides may lead you under the glacier into naturally formed ice‑cave chambers; at other times glacier hikes over blue ice offer a breathtaking experience of ice towers, crevasses and glacial lakes. Access depends heavily on ice‑stability and must always be done with a licensed guide.
